In For Malbranque?

Having not quite had the St Etienne career he would have hoped for when putting pen to paper, could Steed Malbranque be heading back to Craven Cottage?

One Sunday tabloid certainly thinks so with it suggesting that Martin Jol is very keen to bring the free agent back to the Cottage for a second spell.

Malbranque, as you all know, spent five years here in his first spell.

The big question though relates to that old adage about going back.

Would Malbrnaque, at 31, be a good acquisition or should we steer clear?

I love Steed he is probably my favourite player from the Tigana era and if we were short of numbers in the middle I would say yes in a heartbeat but we’re not and he’s 31 now so I’d have to say no

Malbranque (even if not the player he was) or Davies on the right, Duff on the left where he would do best (bored of seeing Duff always cutting in on his stronger left side) with Zamora, Dempsey, Ruiz and possibly Johnson competing for the front two spots. Sounds good to me!
