Keeping Baird!

Although the grapevine inferred that Chris Baird wanted a move away from Craven Cottage in the recent transfer window, it never happened.

According to Vital West Bromwich Albion, Roy Hodgsom wanted to take the Northern Ireland international on loan to the Hawthorns but received a knock back from Martin Jol.

They go on to further report that Jol wanted to keep Baird as cover fo r the forthcoming Europa League games.

It seems like a good enough reason to me!

considering he can play right back, center back and has experience playing defensive center mid, it's a good thing to keep him... he wasn't my favorite initially, but he has won me over...

Yeah quite agree with woody he's earned his right to a place in the squad, these days he’s a pretty reliable choice in terms of consistency and what you get from him
