Juventus Defender Signing?

Martin Jol has already heavily hinted that there is an urgent need to strengthen his squad.

The requirement to do so is even more evident when you count up how many have left Craven Cottage this summer and how many have come in.

With the transfer window set to slam shut this week, Jol will need to move fast.

But it appears, if the grapevine is correct, that Jol has identified one target and that target could be on his way.

The player in question is Zdenek Grygera

Zdenek Grygera is a Czech international who can play at centre back or right back.

He`s thirty one years of age and is currently on the books of Juventus having made over 100 appearances for the Turin side.

Previous clubs include Ajax, Sparta Prague, Petra Drnovice and FK Svit Zlin

We await any confirmation that the move has been done and dusted.

We are desperately in need of a good solid right back. Especially if Baird goes to West Brom. I hope he's looking at the strikers as well.
