Jol on Davies Injury!

Jol on Davies Injury!

Yesterday news broke that Simon Davies recovery from his knee injury hadn`t, or wasn`t going as expected.

We declared we`d provide more details when they were available and that is what we`re now doing.

Ahead of the clash with Newcastle, at St James Park, Martin Jol has spoken about the scenario, commenting,

"The injury is on the knee bone and more complicated than we first thought. It`s still bad."

"We have had a look with the medical staff and feel the likely scenario is that Simon will now be out for probably two months."

"But if it turns out to be a technical thing it could be five months."

"Sometimes you have these injuries and have to come up with a solution - and in this case it`s time."

Davies doesn`t appear to have had the best of luck with injuries does he!

Let`s hope it`s a speedier recovery than expected.
