Jol on Ukraine Victory!

Our Dutch manager has done something remarkable in steering us through a plethora of qualifying games to reach the group stages of the Europa League.

Following the successful conclusion of our qualifying campaign, out in the Ukraine last night, Jol had this to say about the performance that saw us take the tie, against Dnipro, 3-1 on aggregate.

"You have to keep the ball and show everybody that you have come here for the result."

"I know if you`re 3-0 up and score one goal it`s over but we couldn`t do that, so we had to contain them and fight for the result."

"We wanted to achieve the group stages and that`s what we did. It was a fantastic display."

We may not have gotten that away goal I craved to ease any pressure but Jol is right, it was a fantastic result and also a fantastic achievement considering we had a minimal summer break!
