Baird Leaving?

Could another Fulham player be joining Roy Hodgson at West Bromwich Albion?

With Zoltan Gera already at the Hawthorns, the tabloid gossip is inferring that Chris Baird could be on the move before deadline day.

Baird, reportedly unsettled, could add something to a West Brom defence that isn`t exactly renowned for being amongst the most secure in the division.

The question being - would it be the right thing to let him go or does he still have a role to play at Craven Cottage?

at the moment he has a role at RB... hughes is not the answer... if we ship him, we better bring in someone new... i'd like to bring in someone new no matter what...

Don't really want to see him go if Senderos is going to push Hughes to RB. If a new RB is on the way, then I suppose he won't have a role to fill.

I've never been a great fan of Baird, but he is a fairly inexpensive utility player that's nice to have around and, as already noted, is certainly a better option at RB than Hughes.

One of my top three players last season. I cannot understand why Jol does not see it. Put the best central pairing back together and put CB in at right back.

I didn't like him when he first came, but he was fairly solid last year. It's not like we have a wealth of options at RB, so play him Martin! I guess Briggs could also fill that role if needed. but not hughes, who should be at CB.
