The Possibility of Buying a Bentley!

The Possibility of Buying a Bentley!

Something that caught my eye yesterday was the rumour that linked David Bentley with a move to Craven Cottage.

Bentley, out of favour at White Hart Lane, spent some time on loan at Birmingham City last season without hitting the heights he`d hit earlier in his career.

Surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, Bentley could be a good signing by Martin Jol.

His ability to produce crosses out of nothing allied with his free kick expertise could give Jol extra options as we seek to add to our squad.

Bentley, who during the past two years had drifted away from the international scene, could also see a move to Fulham as a ideal chance to kick-start a career that once promised so much.

Anyone care to add anything by way of comment?

I think he could still be good. Sadly it just didnt work out at Spurs. A new start is just what he needs. He's a bit of a flash lad but he is wasted at the moment

Depends on the price spurs paid way over the top for him and other reports say they want most of the £16 mil back in which case no way, £4-5 mil at most

Loan, purchase, either way he'd be a good signing. A question though is he is a winger, don't we have enough wingers or is this a sign someone might be going?
