Murphy Caution!

Murphy Caution!

The last week has seen Martin Jol recruit two young midfield players.

Marcel Gecov (23) and Pajtin Kasami (19) are now on the books of Fulham Football Club and will be looking to force their way into the starting eleven.

But, Danny Murphy, possibly seeing his place coming under threat, has a few words of caution for those keen to discard the old guard, remarking on the eve of our Europa League Third Qualifying Round tie in Croatia,

"People talk about our ageing squad, saying you need to put fresh legs in. You do to a point but the club`s had the most successful time in its history in the past few seasons."

"That`s because of our experience. To finish seventh, eighth and eleventh is unbelievable considering our wage bill."

Would I be considered rude though to suggest that if we have an influx of top-class youth then we may be able to aim even higher?

i understand what he's saying... you need some experience in the squad, no doubt... but we need to move away from having one of the oldest squads in the league...
