Our crusade to plough through to the 'proper` stages of the Europa League continues tonight.
Fulham are in Belfast tonight playing the Irish side - Crusaders, once again a side that we should, especially over two legs, deal with quite easily.
With the tie fast approaching, Martin Jol has once again indicated that he`ll select a full strength side citing a recent loss, against AFC Wimbledon, as reason to not veer from the approach that served us well in the first round against NSI Runavik, remarking,
"But we are not strong enough to leave Damien Duff or Bobby Zamora out."
"We played AFC Wimbledon with reserve players and lost, so we`re not strong enough to do that."
A good point with Jol also adding that there are concerns about the plastic pitch Crusaders utilize remarking,
"Most of the players don`t like it but if you have to play on it, you have to. It`s down to ligaments with the knees and the ankles."
Not what we need when you recall Jol`s previous remark about the squad not being big enough to enable key players to be rested!
Remaining on the subject of the team, we`re informed that Simon Davies will be absent through injury and both Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele are no tin contention as they`ve both yet to resume training.
Bring it on though, I for one can`t wait!
