Stockdale Swansong?

I`d hoped that it was all tabloid rubbish!

I`d hoped that Fulham had no intention of even discussing letting David Stockdale off the premises let alone sending him elsewhere.

But that does appear to be exactly what might be about to happen.

Yesterday the rumour broke that Swansea City were enquiring about our young keeper who only last year made it into the full England squad.

Today the tabloid press contains a quote that infers that Martin Jol might be persuaded to let him leave Craven Cottage either on a permanent basis or a loan when he`s quoted as having remarked,

"If you are a young player you should play so I feel we have to find opportunities for them."

Let it be a loan spell please! The guy has talent and should be our keeper one day!

The whole article says he is only looking to loan him out and only to a club that promises to give him regular first team football, let's hope that remains the case
Oldwolf
i would only loan him to a premier league team. that's the only level of football he hasn't played at, and it is something that joe hart went through, so it shouldn't be taken as an insult... most importantly, though, we need to keep hold of him...

He must not leave permanently. He will be the next long term England keeper for heavens sake.

Hopefully jol has sat stockdale down and said that once mark goes next year, he will be fulham's number one...for many years!
