Big Squad or Little Squad!

Big Squad or Little Squad!

That is the question!

Our new manager appears to have settled in well and everything appears to be in good shape for our Europa League fixture tonight.

Naturally, Jol would have liked a bit more time to get to know his new charges but needs must and all that.

Nevertheless, Jol was very coy when it came to discussing the current situation, whilst praising his squad he did leave one question open to debate, see what you think,

"They are a fine bunch of lads; they work hard every day with a smile on their faces."

"This is a happy club and we would like to keep it that way in the next couple of weeks."

"If you have a big squad it`s a nice competition to play in. If you have small squad it can be a problem.

"But you play football to be in Europe and test yourself and your players at this level."

"We have a few scouts in the Faroe Islands and they watched a couple of matches."

"You can`t take it lightly because it is a European game."

So what do you think?

Was Jol inferring we have a big squad or was he implying that we have a small squad?

I`d be interested to know your thoughts!

I'm sure he'll have a few targets in mind, but he's also cautious about not disturbing the balance. He may bring in a player or 2 now and then if we progress to the Europa League group stages, recruit one or two more

I think jol realises he has inherited a very good squad that only really got going in the second half of the season. hughes did the transformation into a more attacking side...jol just needs to tweek and add! I think he can see that there is alot that is already installed at fulham.....makes his jol easier! He like alot of the players so thats good too....After the shock of hughes leaving....jol is the perfect replacement and hopefully he can bring more !

The core of the squad is solid, but we have an older squad and desperately need some youth at a few key positions. Oddly enough, I'd replace all three goal scorers from last nights match with Runavik.

i think he's saying it's a smaller squad, but knows he can't turn it into a big squad overnight... in terms of who to replace... i wouldn't cry if the three goalscorers left, but they need proper replacements before they can be shipped out...
