'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nope! He`s Not Coming!

Earlier this week, the grapevine suggested that Martin Jol was interested in signing the Stoke City player, Glen Whelan.

It was a possible transfer we didn`t pick up on, not because we weren`t aware of it but because of a stomach bug spreading like wildfire around the office.

But, today the tabloids carry more on the possible transfer of the Irishman with it appearing that any sort of deal has been ruled out with the Stoke City manager, Tony Pulis, dismissing out of hand any talk of the player leaving the Britannia Stadium.

Oh well, what you`ve never had you`ll never miss!

Hi lads, good luck with Martin Jol. Great manager and I'm sure he'll get the best out of your team. Speaking of which, which Spurs players would you consider making an offer on. Realistic targets that is. Curious to the fans thoughts?

Spurs are overflowing with midfield talent, so for me, that would be the primary focus. Of those in play, O'Hara (seems like he's going to Wolves), Kranjcar, Bentley. Beyond that, Hutton would fill a real need at RB for us.

As for Whelan, don't want him. Glad to know he's not coming.
