Looking Beyond Next Season!

Looking Beyond Next Season!

This time last year, all the talk was of Mark Schwarzer going to Arsenal.

As we are all perfectly aware it was a move that didn`t materialise and Mark, if we recall rightly, put pen-to-paper on an extended contract at Craven Cottage.

Having done so, it appears that Mark is now eyeing an extended stay and is quoted in the tabloid press as having remarked,

"I work very hard because the older you get it does get more difficult and you have to adjust with age."

"But there`s even the potential, if I play enough games next season, for an option for another year."

At thirty-eight years of age, Schwarzer clearly isn`t going to be able to gone on for ever but would you bet against him getting the chance to exercise that option?
