Although he played a prominent part in the march to the Europa League Final, in 2010, the season that has just finished didn`t see Zoltan Gera utilized as much as the player himself would have liked.
Now whether it was because the new manager had his own views on the player or whether it was because he didn`t suit the tactics employed by Mark Hughes is, now, neither here nor there.
It`s become apparent for quite a while now that Zoltan has decided to leave Craven Cottage for pastures new.
Well when we say pastures new, it`s more of a possible return to an old stomping ground with West Bromwich Albion now being muted as a likely destination.
Roy Hodgson, who we all know so well and who is now in charge at the Hawthorns after an ill-fated spell at Anfield, is rumoured to be leading the race to sign the player he originally signed for us back in 2008.
Is it a case of the better the devil you know?
