Not Slew off the Mark!

Looking to bolster the squad, we`re led to believe by the red-top publications that Mark Hughes has an eye on one of the youngsters at Sheffield United.

If the reports are right, Fulham have had an offer, said to be in the region of £500,000 turned down for the highly rated eighteen year-old Jordan Slew.

Will Fulham be tempted to go back with an increased offer?

I guess we`ll just have to wait and see!

is he good?

I read that Sheffield United had him rated at £3m, which is ridiculous. Doubt this will happen. Still, I'm impressed with our activity over the past year or so in trying to sign promising youngsters.

how do you know the price is ridiculous? you seen him play? do you even know what he looks like!!

I must admit that I've only seen him in a portion of one match (I think it was PNE; the match where Bjorn Helge Riise smashed a sitter off the crossbar). I recall being impressed by him, but even so, £3m is ridiculous. Obvious attempt to keep Fulham from pursuing the lad. I don't blame you for trying to protect your academy prospects and Slew is likely to be integral in SU gaining promotion back to the Championship next term, especially with Ched Evans likely out the door, but £3m is excessive.
