'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Double-Edged Sword!

This Fair Play League and its subsequent possibility of providing us with a back-door route into the Europa League, next season, is something of a double edged sword.

Now whilst we`d love to sample the giddy delights of Europe again, even getting close to replicating that wonderful run that saw us descend, en-masse, on Hamburg, Mark Hughes has been quick t point out the negative side of qualifying via this method, meaning the close season is almost squashed to nothing, commenting,

"I think it feels like a chore because of where we are this season - it`s been a long one."

"You feel there`s a point close to the end of the season where you are looking for a break so that you can come back refreshed."

"There`s a real concern that maybe that will not be available to us if we come back at an earlier date."

"It`s positive that you are in Europe. But you don`t get that key time you need to recover."

So our question to you is - would you prefer it if we gave the Europa League a miss?

dont see what all the fuss is about most of us only get 4 weeks holiday a year and work very long day have to be up at the crack of dawn or dont get home till midnight so a few extra europa games then just cut out the friendles and hit the ground running these guys get paied enough money and should be very fit
truth sayer ffc
didn't we have this discussion before the europa league last time? would anyone trade the final for a higher place in the league? even if we don't make the final, those european nights were wonderful... make the sacrifice..
