Fulham - Gudjohnsen`s Future?

In recent weeks Eidur Gudjohnsen, after being restricted to substitutes` appearances previously, has been prominent in the starting eleven.

The Icelandic international, has yet to hit the net nut we`re sure that will come soon.

Meanwhile, the subject of Eidur staying on at Craven Cottage after this season has started to rear its head.

In the press this morning, Eidur has inferred that he`d like to remain around if terms can be agreed, being attributed as having said,

"I would be glad to stay if both parties can agree something."

But, and it`s a big but, do you believe that Gudjohnsen has along term future at Craven Cottage or should the club be looking to bring in a younger forward who`ll give us longevity?

You can still see some of the qualities that made him such a good player for Bolton and Chelsea, but he hasn't been the same since he left for Barcelona. He's looked progressively better in each of his starts the past few weeks, but I don't know how much more improvement we can expect. IMO, we should thank him for his effort and look to sign a younger, better player in the summer - Park Chu-Young from AS Monaco would suit me.

He has missed too many sitters for my liking. Move him on and get somebody younger.
El Tel2
Tough one. He is rusty true, but he is progressing. It depends on who Hughes has in mind in the transfer market. Maybe another season.

I think he would be a good addition especially when he knows this is his last crack at the prem and seems to want to make the most of this. I would keep him, he has played at the top level and won titles.....we need this experience for the younger lads to feed off. Its not only about the 90 minutes, but what he brings to the squad and to training. So much can be learned by the younger strikers by being around him.

what younger strikers though, leonestar? we would have to bring in younger strikers to learn from him... we should look to get younger, and let him walk to another club... he can still play, but we need more from him than he can supply... unless we're in europe, in which case i'll take him over kamara any day... well actually i'll take him over kamara regardless of whether we're in europe or not...

woody....dalle valle and hoeson (he was on the subs bench in our last game) are just two to name...then there is trotta. Excuse the spelling. Our academy are flying....with some great players too.
