Hughes On New Fulham Deal!

Mark Hughes name seems to be coming up with a degree of regularity when it comes to positions, at other clubs, becoming vacant.

Therefore, with Sparky now firmly at home in the managerial chair at Craven Cottage, it`s pleasing to read that negotiations have started to keep Hughes at Craven Cottage beyond the length of his current contract, a point Mark has commented on ahead of our away fixture at Sunderland this afternoon.

This is what Mark is quoted a shaving said to the press,

"I`m hoping to sit down with the club and talk about it."

"I`ve twelve months left and we`ve had initial discussions but nothing in terms of really extending the contract."

"But obviously I`m open to conversations in that respect because I like this club. I think it is a well run club with good people and we can be successful."

Hopefully, a deal can be done soon and all these rumours can be put to bed.

Glad to hear he is saying all the right things. I guess its down to where he sees us going and whether that fits big mo ideas as he has the cash to fund the potential success. I think hughes will be realistic, not like the chicken boys at blackburn. some of the stories did maake me laugh. Hughes is certainly also one to bring on young talent too.....happy days to come.....i hope! Lets not be fulhamish over this fella!
