Success?

Nestling in the inner pages of one red top tabloid is a quote that could be a point of discussion.

Speaking ahead of the fixture at the Stadium of Light, against Sunderland, Mark Hughes is quoted as having remarked,

"What we`ve done since Christmas gives you encouragement for whole of next year. We`ve good quality players here and, like most clubs, we try to add to that quality in the summer. If we can I feel confident the next few years will be very successful."

Now, playing devils advocate, how do we gauge success?

For a club like ours is success just staying in the Premier League and obtaining a healthy mid table place or should we be looking at calling success actually winning a trophy?

We`d appreciate your thoughts!
