Fulham - Senderos in Full Training!

Am I correct in saying that Philippe Senderos was Roy Hodgson`s last signing?

Well the latest reports suggest that Senderos is back in training after being side-lined with an Achilles injury all season.

It is hoped that Senderos will finally get to make his Fulham debut before the season finishes.

His return to full-training has enable our Norwegian defender, Brede Hangeland, to offer the following comments to the tabloid press,

"I would welcome any centre-back to the club."

"It means that me and Aaron Hughes need to play well to keep our shirt."

"In football competition brings out the best in people."

With the Hangeland and Hughes combination having served us so well it`ll be interesting to see if Senderos can break up that partnership and make his mark at Fulham Football Club.

This is a player who's spent time at Arsenal and AC Milan, I don't think I'm alone when I say we're not expecting the second coming. It would be good to see him force his way into the side, and stop Hangeland and Hughes having to start 50 games a season.

I think he will come good....hopefully!

I thought it was a great signing at the time. Unfortunate that he picked up such a serious injury. Hughes is getting older and it seems every summer we're holding our breath that a bigger club will come after Hangeland, so I think a healthy Senderos has a good future with us.
