Fulham - Fair Play Bonanza

It is something we`ve touched on before and something that as the season end approaches we`re keen to follow through to a successful conclusion.

We`re back on to that old chestnut regarding qualification for the Europa League via the Premier Fair Play table.

One tabloid source reports that three places, in the Europa League, are up for grabs and that the three countries that top the Respect Fair Play League will be awarded one place each.

This, reportedly, bodes well for Fulham!

In the Premier League Fair play table, we`re lying in second place behind a Chelsea side that will, inevitably, qualify for Europe, whilst the Premier League is also in the top three of the Respect Fair Play League.

Is anyone up for a few more European jaunts then?

The prospect of Europe is appealing, but qualification via Fair Play puts us in the 1st qualifying round, which makes a long journey even longer. Mixed blessing, I guess.

I don't think we'll get it any other way this season so why not? This made me think though. Did the Europa league last season make a loss for us, or a plus? t the time I thought we made money from it, but when the accounts came out I thought I read that the Europa league cost us money. Anyone know which?

The explanation of our recent financial losses suggests that it was players signings in preparation for Europa League that caused the increased debt, which is frustrating because with exception of Duff, most of last years signings have played little part in the past two PL campaigns. Seems most of them are on their way out (if they haven't already left) this summer.

if you can get yourselves sorted it could be a good little jaunt for you guys. however, i don't feel you will last long in the competition with your current side.

Cheers Teddy.
