Fulham - Hughes Latest!

Fulham - Hughes Latest!

The rumoured interest, from Bavaria, could well kick-start a series of events that results in Mark Hughes being tied to Craven Cottage on a new deal.

Obviously intrigued by the interest, it didn`t take the media long to ask a few probing questions relating to his future and amongst those questions was one that appertained to Marks future with the prospect of a new deal at Fulham possibly being offered, with Mark responding,

"It is when other people want to do that - it`s not down to me, it has to come from the club."

"If the club feels that I am doing a good job, then I am open to those discussions."

"I`m really enjoying my work at this great club and we are heading in the right direction."

"If we can invest more in the players next year, then we can kick on. That is my focus at this time."

Has Hughes done enough warrant an extended deal?

Not yet, and if he's looking for player investment this summer, I'm afraid he'll be disappointed. If Bayern offer, he'll go. Count on it.

You never know, I can see at least 4 players going this summer. It might make some room for a couple more.
