Fulham - Only a Matter of Time for Dempsey!

Fulham - Only a Matter of Time for Dempsey!

Walking home on Monday evening, having just watched us miss a glorious chance to put one over on our neighbours Chelsea, one point never crossed my mind

Let me explain.

I never gave it a second thought that Clint Dempsey had missed out on a chance to set a record.

It appears that if Dempsey had of beaten Cech with that injury time penalty he`d have notched up 10 goals in the Premier League which would have made him the highest American scorer, in a single season, in Premier League history.

Never mind, we`re sure that, with so many matches left, Clint will snatch the record off of a certain Brian McBride sometime this season!

i have to say, being american, i'm glad that i have had the chance to cheer for both the holder and in the encumbant of that record... there would have been no better time to do it, against a team that he has annoyed in games past...
