Fulham - Should We Have Won?

With Clint Dempsey netting his tenth of the season, Mark Hughes has a belief that we should have won on the road at Villa Park yesterday.

Obviously referring to the late stop produced by Brad Freidel, from Andrew Johnson, Hughes had this to say about Clint hitting double-figures for the season and the possibility it was two points lost rather than one gained,

"That is 10 for the season - the most he has got."

"I think the point was the least we deserved. In fact, we could have won it."

Is Sparky right or is he being a little too critical?

CLINTON FOR PRESERDENT AS i ALWAYS SAY A WIN WOULD BE NICE BUT DRAW AWAY AND WIN AT HOME AND IN THE PREM WE WILL ROME COYW

I think it was a fair result. We had the clearer scoring chances, but Villa had the lions share of possession and looked better in possession. Of course, there's the matter of another John Pantsil own-goal.

Take away the JP blunder, which obviously knocked our confidence first half. Without that own goal it would have been nil- nil at half time. I think we would have gone on to win it as second half we were alot better, but had to chase the game being a goal down!

No way did fulham deserve the win! A draw was by far the best result, no team had too much chances and both had probably the equal amount of play but i think villa probably edged it. But i'll say again i thought a draw was easily the fair result.

draw was fair... it's not like we had a glut of scoring chances or glaring misses... i'll take the point away...
