Fulham - Chin Up John!

Once could be called unlucky, twice could be called careless but thrice?

Yesterday saw John Pantsil score his third own goal of the season (and it`s only February) when his slip gave Aston Villa the lead against us.

Thankfully, we were bale to retrieve something from the game with a fighting 2-2 draw.

After the game, Mark Hughes explained why he took John off and also commented on general matters, remarking,

"John was disappointed at half time and I felt it was affecting him so I made the decision to take him off."

"In fairness it was a difficult ballot deal with, but he got it wrong and it put us on the back-foot."

"Every goal we concede, irrespective of whether it is an own-goal or not, we will review and try to address it to stop it happening again."

These things happen John, don`t let it get to you!

I guess he's our best option at RB, but something tells me he's gone in the summer. Must confess that I'm shocked by the drop-off in performance this season.

I very surprised too.....but he has not been consistent and i do fear he will be on his way. If so then I shall be sad to miss his prayers, passion and laps around the cottage after a game. But I wont miss his own goals! Sort it out JP.....

he had his dip at the beginning of the season under a new manager, but i thought he was back on track... tough ball to deal with, a credit to downing... but he has to do better... sort it out is right...
