Praise For Sidwell!

With Dickson Etuhu still out injured, Steve Sidwell gets the chance to shine at an old stomping ground this afternoon.

Signed form Aston Villa, in the transfer window, Sidwell will get the nod from Hughes this afternoon to go out and strut his stuff with Hughes pleased with his contributions, so far, since moving back to London.

This is what Hughes had to say in the pre-match build up,

"He`s played well and I`ve been impressed."

"With Dickson Etuhu injured, we`re grateful he`s been up to match speed. He`s had a real impact. I felt he would because he`s a good player."

"There is a little of him having a point to prove. He has frustrations as his career at Reading was excellent and he was playing every week."

"Now it`s a case of getting his career back on track."

A goal from Sidwell, against his old club, this afternoon anyone?

Sidwell played very well today. Have to wonder if Etuhu will get his spot back. Murphy and Sidwell have combined very well since the Liverpool match.

He played well but was over committed allowing the villa player to ease past him and shoot for the second....great passion though.
