'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Hughes Wake-Up Call!

It`s fair to say that yesterday, for many, brought back memories of our fantastic Europa League Cup run of last season.

The football we played, especially in that first half, was of a level we`ve probably not see since those heady nights.

It`s my opinion that it was the best football we`ve played under Mark Hughes and, hopefully, there will plenty more to come.

But before we all get carried away with cup fever, Mark Hughes is quite right when he commented,

"This club really enjoyed the experience last year when they got to a big European Final. Another big final this year would be fantastic."

"But league form and league points are what we`re looking at."

They are but you can`t deny the cup does have its own sort of magic!
