Fulham - Hughes on Fast Start!

Fulham - Hughes on Fast Start!

Could anybody have imagined that incredible first forty-five minutes yesterday?

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined we`d have done an Inter Milan and be 4-0 up against Spurs.

After the game Mark Hughes gave an insight into the battle plan that served us so well, albeit with some comedy defending from Tottenham, remarking,

"We wanted to make a fast start and that`s what we did. We were able to force a few errors from their back four and get a couple of goals early on and then were able to put the game beyond them."

And as for Craven Cottage becoming a fortress, Hughes is confident that is once again becoming the case, further commenting,

"We`ve navigated two early rounds. We`ve got a home draw and we have no apprehension about taking on anyone here."

Bolton or Wigan await us in the next round, a preference for Wigan anyone?

To be a top ten team we either need a lucky season with no injuries or a larger quality squad...But yep either team would do me in next round
