Fulham - Kakuta Deal Done

Our neighbours, from just down the Fulham Road, have consented to us loaning the French winger, Gael Kakuta.

The youngster passed at medical at Fulham yesterday and signed on the dotted line until the end of the season.

On releasing the winger those at Chelsea issued a statement that read,

"Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Gael Kakuta has today (Wednesday) signed on loan at Fulham until the end of the season. Kakuta, who recently signed a new four-and-a-half year deal with Chelsea, will be hoping to gain increased first-team opportunities to add to his total of 16 appearances in our colours. The French Under 20 international joined the club in July 2007 as a trainee, making his debut in November 2009 before helping his country to the Under 19 European Championship last summer."

Kakuta goes straight into the squad for the FA Cup clash with Spurs this weekend. We hope his time with us will be productive for all concerned.

should be a win win... he helps us out and gains experience to become a better player at chelsea... loaning young forwards is something that'd i've hoped we would do, as it something that sunderland had success with loaning welbeck...

He looks like has all the right stuff to go all the way, bit like the player Collins John could have been but sadly wasn’t. Good signing for us as long as he gets some game time and that could be a problem unless we pull our selves away from the bottom I can’t see Hughes experimenting to much.

looks good mark can use him well

If you guys give him game time, he'll deliver. Outstanding young player, expect comments from Mark Hughes about his talent soon.
