Fulham - Hughes on Johnson!

Notching up his first goal since March 2009, a goal that will have done wonders to restore the confidence of Andrew Johnson; has eased the pressure a bit on Mark Hughes!

Andrew Johnson, coming on as a substitute, looked to have recovered the verve that had been missing since his comeback from injury. On Saturday, at Wigan, all that had been missing seemed to have come back prompting Mark Hughes to comment in his post match interview,

"It`s been tough for Andy. He had a significant injury and we possibly brought him back too soon. We have been careful with him since. He has missed about 10 games before this one."

"But he is a positive guy. I know what he can do. It was a good strike even if it took a slight deflection."

"His return has eased the anxiety about looking for an extra striker."

"We have injured players coming back, the confidence is good and we are looking for a top-10 finish."

Top 10 finish, just get us some distance between ourselves and those hauntingly evil looking relegation places and I`ll be happy!
