Roy Not the Boy for Liverpool!

Many will say we told you so!

You should have stayed at Fulham but let`s face facts. He had to have a go although now he might wish he had not.

He would have been given more time with us and less expectation!

We would settle for the Europa League where Liverpool would want the moon.

This will do his England chances more harm then good.

Could he go back to Blackburn could he return to Fulham even with his spell at the pool there will be no shortage of job offers.

Let`s let bygones be bygones and wish Roy well for the future after all he did a lot for this small club of ours!

I don’t think MAF would have him back after the things he said about him when he left and I'd like to see us do well under Hughes, you can't go back and Roy had his time with us and gave us some truly wonderful nights at the Cottage, but that’s history and we we’ve all moved on since then

He walked into a very bad situation. He should have known better. I never blamed him for wanting to take a bigger job, but Liverpool was a no-win situation. He never had a chance. Pity. He's a good manager and a gentleman.

Thats an interesting thought sayer ffc! Its a real shame as a man of his age, close to retirement, if he had stayed at fulham for the next couple of years he could have retired with his head held high and regarded a true legend at the cottage. plus i was hoping that he might have been able to bring on a younger manager like lee clark or even danny murphy! Shame but i could see this happening so im not surprised....Why was he not happy with being a success at liitle old fulham? Greed?

Ambition. With few exceptions, all players and managers jump at the opportunity to move to a 'bigger' club, regardless of how perfect their current situation might be. Sign of the times.

money money money me thinks

But cannot you have ambition without looking up but getting you team up? We all cant win the league, true, but in 130 odd years fulham now have it pretty good. History and bring pleasure to the fans! Where is the love?

sorry lads had a juve moment!!

can't blame him for leaving... feel a bit sorry for him, but he did it to himself... don't go back, as they say... let's see how sparky does... i think this time he'll wait for the right offer...
