Fulham - Duff in Rovers Link!

The rumour-mill is alive with the inference that Damien Duff is a wanted man!

Duff, who joined us from Newcastle, last season, is wanted by a previous club of his - Blackburn Rovers.

The Irishman left Ewood Park, several years ago to join our London rivals Chelsea before moving on to join a Newcastle side that he had the misfortune to relegate with an own goal in the last game of the season against Aston Villa before moving to Fulham after a few games in the Championship with Newcastle.

On joining Fulham, Duff surprised many with his work ethic and skills although his injury record continued to hinder any chances of playing every game he, in my opinion, was good value for the transfer fee we paid.

With Ewood Park`s new owners keen to regenerate the wonderful times the club experienced under Sir Jack Walker, it`s expected that the club will pursue many targets.

Our question to you is, should, if the enquiry is genuine; we let Damien go?

hes a legend at rovers, but we do have pedersen for left midfield...

No I think we should hang on to him, he has the work ethic and skills that we need if we want to progress, but aren't these things decided by the player these days, if he's happy here and settled in London then he'll stay if not then who knows.
Oldwolf
lets try to hang on to our good players and build on that

Absolutely let him go. I was not happy when we signed him, but he proved me wrong. He was great for us last season. This season, however, his age is starting to show. If we can make some money, go for it.

If we were further up the league and looked safe, then yes, if the money was good. But now we need to keep all players who have so far contributed, especially players like Duff who are attacking minded. Lets consolidate, i think in the summer hughes will assess and start to build his own team. He did play well against Spurs by the way!
Leonestar
Agree with Teddy and Leone. Definately keep him, he's a great option to start with or to bring in off of the bench. Plus, we need to fix our center mid and strike force, no point needing to replace a winger as well.

swap duff for pederson? how about it? if we were in a more comfortable position i would say sell and make some money, but we need him as he scores goals...
woodysweats
lets keep him
