'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Hughes Reflects!

Starting the New Year by dropping into the relegation zone isn`t a scenario we`d all hoped for.

Thankfully, there is sufficient time to reverse our current fortune around and climb away from the danger spots.

The defeat at White Hart Lane yesterday saw the team give a solid defensive display but being undone by one moment of improvisation by Gareth Bale.

Following the defeat, Mark Hughes addressed the media and had this to say,

"We have arguably been the best team in our last six or seven games and only picked up one win."

"I have been really pleased with the last few performances."

"As far as we can see, we are in a position that is totally false."

"We face reality because we are in the bottom three."

"We will play lesser teams than Tottenham and if we play like we did today, we will overcome those teams."

"We came here and made it really hard for a team that is really flying. Tottenham were the ones hanging on and we have to take the positives."

All of a sudden, the clash with West Brom, at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening takes on a whole new significance.

Hughes is a bit delusional, in my opinion. Unless there are some outstanding signings pending in January, failure to take three points against West Brom would surely be it for him.
