Fulham - Don`t Do It!

It`s horrid to see the Daily Mirror rocking the boat down by the River Thames!

The tabloid carries a back page article that infers Mark Hughes has three games to save his job otherwise he`ll be ditched.

If so, it`ll be a tragic move for two reasons if Fulham do dispense with his services.

Firstly, has Mark really had enough time to shape his side and secondly would we be in danger of lightning striking twice?

The reason I say that is because Hughes was a late replacement for Hodgson with the board actively hoping Martin Jol was coming.

Hughes, subsequently, had no time to raid the transfer market. Therefore, if the Mirror is correct and Hughes has three games to go, wouldn`t his replacement be lumbered with the same problem with the transfer window already open and with very little knowledge of what the ills of the current set-up are?

I understand the argument, but this slide has more to do with setup and tactics than it does with personnel. There is no discipline and organization is so obviously lacking. Surely, this has to be laid at the feet of Hughes. It would be different if we were sitting in 15 or 16, but we're at 18 and form of late has been awful. I just don't see how you can ignore the West Ham defeat. Yes, we looked the better side for much of the match, but we gave up three goals. Pantsil and Etuhu were AWFUL. If you want to give Hughes a couple of matches, then fine, but if we look as bad as we have the past few weeks, we must make a move before it's too late.

I'm trying, trying, trying to be patient with Hughes. I want him to be a success, but we've looked wretched of late. Take something from Stoke and MAYBE I change my tune.
