Fulham - Bentley Interest Update!

Yesterday we covered how the tabloid press were depicting a Fulham interest in the Spurs player, David Bentley.

It was inferred that having worked with Mark Hughes when they were both at Blackburn Rovers there was a chance that Bentley could be lured across London from White Hart Lane.

We also covered how Mark Hughes might, possibly, be trying to lure another ex-charge of his, Stephen Ireland, to Craven Cottage quite probably on the same premise.

However, if the tabloid press is correct, this morning, matters might slightly have changed.

The tabloid press are now depicting a scenario whereby if Gerrard Houllier, at Aston Villa, can shift both Stephen Ireland and Steve Sidwell from the Midlands side then he too is interested in luring David Bentley to Villa Park.

This one has all the potential of being a transfer triangle we think!

Been very disappointed with his time at Spurs, but I really believe theirs a decent player their. It just hasn't worked out for him here, we play with pace and that simply isn't his game
