Fulham - Striker Rumours!

With it being published that Mark Hughes has a transfer kitty at his disposal this January, it`s inevitable that speculation will continue to be generated as to who will be heading in our direction.

Today, one leading tabloid has opted for the money, primarily, being spent on strikers to ease our current striking crisis that has Bobby Zamora out long term injured, Mousa Dembele out short-term injured and Andy Johnson struggling to recapture the form that made him an expensive purchase.

The players this tabloid has Mark Hughes supposedly on the brink of purchasing come January are Papiss Demba Cisse (Freiburg) and Lacina Traore (Cluj).

Vey little information is given about either player except to state that Traore is rated in the £4 million class and Cisse, although on a four year contract with Freiburg, is keen to leave Germany.

No doubt these two will be the first of many names linked with a move to Craven Cottage, we`ll do our best to keep you informed of any developments!

I know nothing about Traore. Cisse is good, but I read an article/rumor that Fulham is too small for the striker. Supposedly being looked at by Arsenal. Can't believe anything you read these days, though. Either way, I think we need to focus on established Premier League strikers on loan.

that's a good idea... do we have any players on loan at the moment? we can only have two, right?

I did a little research on Traore and he seems a decent player, though his primary asset seems to be that he's 6'8", but he played well in his recent CL matchs, especially versus Roma. Maybe this wouldn't be a bad deal after all.
