Fulham - Hangeland Praise for Schwarzer!

Fulham - Hangeland Praise for Schwarzer!

Did Arsene Wenger`s statement that Arsenal would not be making any signings in the January transfer window influence Mark Schwarzer when it came to signing his contract extension?

We`d like to think not!

However, nestling in the sports pages of a leading tabloid today is an interesting article whereby it`s asked whether the uncertainty surrounding Schwarzer`s position affected the side, Brede Hangeland thinks not, remarking,

"No! I think it was more difficult for Mark, perhaps, not knowing where he was going to play."

"That`s always a bit hard for any player but its part of football."

"And since it was decided he`s staying here, he has been putting in a top-class performance every week. Mark is by far the best keeper I`ve worked with."

Glad to hear it and a nice compliment thrown in there for the Australian!

we need goals, and unfortunately, our keeper can't score them... glad we locked him down...
