Disappointment was visibly etched on Mark Hughes` face during the first forty-five minutes of the fixture against Birmingham City.
Afterwards, in his obligatory post match interview, Sparky about how things have gone in recent weeks, remarking,
"We`ve had games prior to the last two where we haven`t possibly got what we deserved."
"But we had a really poor 45 minutes today and that`s not bad in the 15-game season where we are up to now. We are realistic, we understand where we are. We need points on the board."
"But at this point in time, I know we`ve got enough to be edging the mid-table very, very quickly. But until that happens you have to acknowledge that we are in a position that we don`t want to be in - so it is just a case of keeping going."
It is but we don`t half miss Bobby don`t we!
