'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Words From the Owner!

Our good, unbeaten, start to the season is a distant memory now.

Instead we`re fearful of a flirtation with relegation as we lie just above those three dreaded relegation places.

Seemingly, Mohamed Al Fayed descended upon our training facility to issue a rallying cry ahead of our home encounter with Birmingham City this weekend.

Speaking about the visit, Mark Hughes had this to say,

"He`s done it before and his views are quite forthright when he does turn up. It`s not something we are uncomfortable with."

"It`s his club and he`s well within his rights to do that. We hope it has an impact."

"He`s at every home game and chats with the guys and it was good to see him."

"It was obviously good that the players heard his views. We had already discussed it as players and management. His input was noted and we want to build on what we feel we have achieved this season in terms of performance levels."

Three points today will go a long way to easing those relegation fears even though the season is only in its early stages!
