Fulham - Hughes Praises City!

Fulham - Hughes Praises City!

Those first forty-five minutes must have been purgatory for Mark Hughes yesterday.

The early strike, from Carlos Tevez, left us facing an uphill battle and those two further strikes ensured it was only ever going to be a damage limitation exercise.

However, having seen his hopes of gaining some sort of revenge on his former employers dashed, Mark was very magnanimous in defeat and even tipped his former club for Premier League glory, remarking to the media,

"If they have belief and can be more attack-minded, as they were today, there`s no reason why they shouldn`t be contenders."

"They were excellent. We were complicit in that with the time we let them have."

"But they`ve got as good a chance as anybody."

Whereas we`re glancing over our shoulders at a possible relegation battle having won only two of our opening fourteen fixtures!
