Fulham - Mad About Salcido!

Fulham - Mad About Salcido!

All the pundits are raving about Gareth Bale.

The Welshman has taken the Champions League by storm and already the pundits are implying that Bale is bound for great things.

Interestingly, here at Craven Cottage, we reckon we`ve got a flyer to match Bale in the form of our summer signing, Carlos Salcido.

The Mexican has proven, already, to be an astute signing and has captivated the souls of those that follow Fulham with his entertaining displays.

Ahead of the Aston Villa fixture, Mark Hughes has briefly discussed the Mexican and what we can expect in future, remarking,

"Initially it was a case of getting to know his qualities. Now we are trying to get him in more attacking positions."

"He has the ability to produce really good crosses. He`s different to Ashley Cole but gives us the quality to get balls into the box."

Something to which Clint Dempsey will readily quantity after those teasing, marvellous crosses last Saturday when Wigan came to town!

Looks like we have another manager with the ability to find bargains out there. Sold Konchesky for 4 million and 2 players, and then bring in Salcido for 1.8 million. Good ol' Mark.

I think Salcido is great, but Gareth Bale is on an epic run of form. Hard to compare him to anyone these days.
