Fulham - Smalling Watch!

For those of you interested in seeing our former players performing on a bigger stage, you might like to tune into Sky Sports tonight to watch the Bursaspor v Manchester United game.

We`re reliably informed that Chris Smalling will once again be partnering Nemanja Vidic at the heart of the United defence.

Smalling, signed by United after making only a handful of appearances for Fulham is continuing to impress Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scottish boss, who has created something of a dynasty at Old Trafford has remarked about Smalling,

"With young players you always have to give them time."

"But fortunately for the lad he`s come in and taken to it very quickly."

He may not have stayed that long at Craven Cottage but it was obvious there was something about Smalling that indicated he had a brighter future than many that have passed through our ranks!

"He`s adapted well and taken to training because he already has the physical side."

Still think there is an air of calamity about the lad, but he's done well enough. Good luck to him.
