Fulham - Laughing, Laughing!

There`s more controversy surfacing after that dodgy Spurs goal!

The Fulham Chronicle carries some interesting quotes from Jonathan Greening.

Greening in the side due to the absence of the injured Dickson Etuhu reckons we were robbed on Saturday (a point I`ll not argue with) and reckons he saw and heard the Spurs players ridiculing the referee`s decision to disallow the Spurs winning goal.

Speaking to the local rag, Greening had this to say,

"Most of the Tottenham players were laughing and saying 'if they give this now it's going to be a bit of a joke'.'

'For one he was in an offside position and interfering with play. The linesman gave offside and I don't know why the ref tried to get involved really."

'Aaron Lennon admitted it was definitely offside, so I don't know what the referee saw.'

Several thousand Spurs fans journeying back to N17 with a big smile on their faces knowing they`d pulled a flanker I guess!

Yeah offside, didn't touch the ball and wasn't interfering with play and one of the best strikes you'll see all season from a player who is better than the Fulham midfield put together!! Yeah we were laughing all the way to the Lane!!! ha ha ha ha ha

Off topic - anyone notice how MOTD spent a good 10 mins talking about the "offside" goal and about 5 seconds glossing over one of the most sublime chips you will ever see??
goulding
off topic but did you notice those 3 points from the "offside"...? I did and 3 points feel just as swee offside or not :)

Hey, Spurs interlopers - do the letters F-O mean anything to you?

Busy here innit.

It was a goal, get over it, how many goals have spurs been denied against the Sky top 4? It evens itself out over time, we won we won well and another 3 points to keep us up there.

To the letter of the law it was a goal. I'm not surprised that most of our players thought it was offside because they could see it was Gallas a mile off. Everyone heard the second contact but the ref correctly saw that it didnt come off Gallas. As he wasnt interferring weith that phase of play it was a goal. Dont blame us for the complexities of the new offside rules. Oh and also dont blame us for posting on your Vital site. Its not like you are inundated with Fulham fans posting here is it? Be grateful for the traffic lol.

Clubs in the Top Four have certain rights, such as being allowed to score offside goals, and getting the benefit of any doubts in the ref's mind. Spurs, however, have not yet benefited from these rights. Hopefully they will soon. Haaaaaaahhhhhaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
