Although we`re churning out draw after draw, I still think we deserve a pat on the back for being only one of two teams that are still unbeaten in the Premier League.
On Saturday, at Upton Park, we were pushing West Ham all the way an don another day we might well have walked away with all three points.
Now we`re not sure how long this unbeaten run will go on but the longer it does the greater the confidence in the squad.
After our latest draw, Mark Hughes has spoken about how pleased he is to be at Craven Cottage whilst also making an honest and very frank admission, remarking,
"I`m pleased I came to Fulham. Like a lot of people, I hadn`t realised what a good club Fulham is and what talent there is here - not just in the team but around the club."
"That quality makes my job less stressful. I got bogged down for 12 to 14 months in my job at Manchester City with things that were away from the pitch."
"The difference at Fulham is its all set up for me to prepare my team the best possible way."
"Since I came to Fulham, I`ve spent £5 million on Moussa Dembele and that`s a big part of my budget while at City there was no budget."
Clearly, money doesn`t always bring happiness. Mark may have had a bottomless pit of the stuff at City but the realisation that money isn`t everything has hit home.
With Mark clearly so happy in his new job, I wonder if the same could be said about Roy Hodgson who jumped ship and is having a torrid time at Anfield.
I guess this homely club of ours is a shining beacon amongst the cut and thrust world of the Premier League!
