Fulham extended their unbeaten Premier League start with another draw in an entertaining encounter at Upton Park.

The draw means that, along with Manchester United, we`ve yet to suffer a Premier League defeat, however, having drawn six of those seven games is a little more concerning.

At a full to capacity Upton Park, Mark Hughes surprisingly chose Chris Baird in the defence and Eddie Johnson up front. Damien Duff made his 300th career start.

Fulham started well with Dempsey cheekily testing Robert Green from distance, shades of South Africa 2010 perhaps. But this time Green coped admirably.

Dempsey was soon in the wars, picking up a tasty shiner after collecting an elbow from Da Costa, although it did look accidental. Schwarzer had to remain alert to rush out and foil Piquionne after the striker had rushed onto a Parker ball.

Prior to that Salcido had done well to keep out a Piquionne header from a Noble corner. With thirty-three minutes gone, Fulham took the lead. The goal coming after Dempsey expertly controlled a Davies corss before firing home, past Green, from twelve yards.

Fulham could have doubled their lead prior to half time but Green saved well from a Salcido long range effort.

Almost straight after the break, Fulham could have doubled their lead when a Dempsey effort clipped the bar, instead, with fifty-one minutes on the clock, our hosts equalised. Noble and Obinna combined and when Obinna sent over a decent cross it was Piquionne who out-jumped our defence to nod home past Schwarzer.

Our hosts were in the ascendancy now and Piquionne and Barrera both saw chances come and go. Carlton Cole, who had scored in the past four encounters between the two sides, was introduced but suddenly it was Fulham that were forcing the issue.

Green showed that he still is a top keeper by saving a long range effort from Davies before getting down to turn-away an Etuhu header. But perhaps the best chance of the half fell to Kamara, on for Johnson, who raced clear only to fire high, wide and handsome.

Next up Spurs, I believe, after the international break!

The injury situation makes these draws a little more acceptable, but we really need to start picking up three points from these types of fixtures.
