'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hughes Reckons Fulham Need to Be……….!

It`s now twenty-three games, away from home, in the Premier League in which we`ve failed to register a win.

Thankfully, although the statistic doesn`t look that good, we can take some crumbs of comfort from the fact that we`re picking up draws at ground, this season, that might be considered difficult grounds to get anything from.

On Saturday, we came back from behind (again) to share the spoils with Blackburn.

But Mark Hughes wants, quite rightly, more, Mark wants us to grab all those three points available and in his post match press interview, remarked as such, concentrating on being more dynamic and possibly as a consequence, more adventurous,

"I just think we needed to be a little more dynamic as a team."

"I wanted us to dictate to the opposition rather than the other way round. We`ve shown a lot of good qualities at places not easy to go to."

Is Mark right or should we adopt a safety-first attitude on the road?

Nah i reckon he's right... Roy played it safe and im not denying it worked but it wasnt pretty.. I feel if Fulham want to take that next step and start fighting for that regular 8-5th spot they have to start playing a more intimidating game on the road. So far they've done well this season because they are scoring goals awya from home.

The safety-first approach has served the team well over the past few seasons, so I suspect it's hard for the squad to break from the successful formula, but I think Hughes is a little more ambitious that Roy Hodgson, so I could see the trend changing (eventually).

i think carbz has a good point... we are already getting more adventurous away from home, just look at the goals we've scored... how many 0-0 draws away from home did we experience last season... so far it looks to be an improvement...

I've never understood why teams play different away from home, maybe I'm just thick!
