Fulham - Hangeland Will Move On?

The fixture today will see Brede Hangeland on the same pitch as one of his fellow Norwegian internationals, Morten Gamst Pedersen.

Now, all summer long, we`ve been fearful of a 'bigger` club coming in for Brede but, thankfully, it didn`t happen.

Although, if we were looking for words of encouragement perhaps we should advise you not to read the quotes that Morten has had published in the media this morning, quotes that infer Brede will, one day be gone,

This is what Morten had to say,

"He will get a bigger club."

"He is a professional and if he continues performing like he has been doing, it is hard to se him not being hunted down with a big club."

"There has been loads of speculation already. I don`t know what the facts are but you get that speculation because he is a good player. There was talk about whether he would go with Roy Hodgson to Liverpool."

"It is only a matter of time before clubs will buy him."

"But he is happy at Fulham and isn`t the sort of guy who would try to run away."

Hang on - bigger club - Liverpool?

Pedersen is just trying to unsettle Brede before the game today, can't see the iceman giving it a second thought... for now!

Every season he stays is a bonus. Never thought we'd still have him at this point. Still, the longer he stays, the less likely a big club will come calling. Just my opinion.

true... he's not getting any younger, but unfortunately, he won't get worse with age... he doesn't rely on his speed or anything...

just his positional sense and great tackling!
