Fulham - Johnson Returns!

Fulham - Johnson Returns!

With Bobby Zamora sidelined until the New Year, at the earliest, courtesy of a broken leg, it`s great to hear that long term injury victim, Andrew Johnson, could soon be returning to the first team squad.

Johnson, who has had a wretched run of injuries, is rumoured to be looking at a comeback next month and supporters will be delighted that our £10.5 million signing has been nurturing himself back to fitness without losing any of the traits that saw Fulham pay-out such a large amount.

Having only played 13 times last season, the most memorable in our history, Johnson will be looking for a better return this time out and speaking about his ordeal has commented,

"Worst year of my life."

"I`ve done everything I can to make sure I haven`t lost any speed."

"If it`s the end of September, October, or whenever. I can see the light now."

Fingers crossed that all goes well as Johnson nears the end of his rehabilitation from his shoulder and groin injuries, we could certainly do with his striking talents with Zamora sidelined now as well!

We could use him back, but Dembele does look to be a good buy tho' here’s hoping the goals keep going in for him

Great news. Before BZ's injury I didn't really care about his potential re-appearance on the scene, but now we could use his experience. Not many out-and-out strikers of 'Premiership' quality left for us. Even Dembele isn't technically a striker, although I sure hope he's deployed as one.

AJ and Dembele mmmm another interesting combination. Dempsey and Gera as back up? Not so bad really. We do have scoring midfielders....even dickson!

i cant wait to see Zamora and AJ play together.don't forget when they last played Zamora was nowhere near the form he is now and AJ suffered because of this.id rather have dembele on the wide areas.he loves to run at people.he even said at the start of the season he sees himself being a creator than a goalscorer.Having them 3 fit and on the field at the same time = good times.

Will be a while though. I wonder if I can place a bet that by the time BZ comes back, AJ will be injured?
