Fulham - Hughes Thwarted!

It looks as if time ran out on a bid to sign the Manchester City forward, Rocque Santa Cruz.

Cruz, who has played for Mark Hughes at Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City, was, according to Sky Sports, a late target for Fulham.

But the sports news channel reported that a deal had been impossible to conclude as time was against all parties.

Story of our day I suppose!
