Fulham - Bloomfield Road Will Be Ready!

Saturday should see Fulham play a historic part in the ongoing development of Blackpool Football Club.

Blackpool, newly promoted, will be looking to play their first Premier League home game ever at Bloomfield Road.

Scheduled to play Wigan there, on the opening day, the fixture was moved as the building work on the new East Stand had yet to be completed.

This week the suggestion was that Blackpool were seeking a crowd of in excess of 1500 to ensure a safety certificate could be granted, for a Lancashire cup clash with Morecambe.

As it turned out over 2,500 flocked to the ground and the word from our colleagues up in the north-west is that it is 99% certain that the fixture will go ahead and the new stand will be fully operational.

Is anyone heading away for a weekend in Blackpool amongst our fraternity?
